This article is for Super Admins
Connecting Qarrot with your organization's Microsoft Teams account enables your people to view recognitions, announcements, campaign awards, and milestones right from Teams.
Microsoft has retired the previous Incoming Webhook connector functionality. Microsoft Teams now uses Workflows to create webhook URLs. If you previously connected Qarrot to Teams using an Incoming Webhook URL, you'll need to create a new URL using the steps below and update it in Qarrot.
Create a webhook in Microsoft Teams
In Microsoft Teams, open the channel where you'd like Qarrot activity to appear.
Select the ••• menu next to the channel name, then select Workflows.
Note: Depending on your organization's Microsoft Teams settings and permissions, you may need assistance from your Microsoft Teams administrator to create or manage workflows.
In Workflows, select a webhook template such as Send webhook alerts to a channel.
Follow the prompts to configure the workflow for your selected Teams channel, then save it.
Once the workflow has been created, copy the generated webhook URL. You'll need this URL to complete the connection in Qarrot.
Add your webhook URL to Qarrot
Log in to Qarrot and go to Manage > Settings > Integrations
Note: This page is only visible to Super Admins.
Under Integrations, locate the Webhooks section Microsoft Teams card and click Connect.
Paste the webhook URL generated by your Microsoft Teams workflow into the Webhook URL field and click Save.
That's it! Qarrot is now connected to your Microsoft Teams channel, and supported social feed activity (public recognitions, milestones, etc.) will be shared directly in Teams.
Already using the previous Microsoft Teams webhook?
If you previously configured this integration using Microsoft's Incoming Webhook connector, your existing webhook may no longer work because Microsoft has retired that functionality.
Follow the steps above to create a new webhook URL using Workflows, then replace your previous URL in Manage Program > Settings > Integrations in Qarrot.
