Connect Qarrot to your Slack account (webhook)

View your social feed activity right from your Slack channel

Updated over a week ago

Slack has deprecated this Incoming WebHooks integration, so we will progressively remove it accordingly.

For an improved Slack experience, please install our new app for Slack which comes with a brand new webhook. See the following article for more information about our new app for Slack:

This article is for Super Admins.

Connecting Qarrot with your organization's Slack account enables your people to view the recognitions, announcements, campaign awards, or milestones right from your Slack channel.

Note: We recommend that you create a new channel in Slack dedicated to your recognition program.

To connect Qarrot to your Slack account, follow these steps:

  1. Head to the Slack App Directory

Note: You will need to be an admin in your Slack workspace to set up this integration.

2. Search for the app Incoming Webhooks and click 'Add to Slack'

That's it! 🎉 Any new public activity on the Qarrot social feed will get posted to the selected Slack channel.

The Qarrot webhook connection in Slack only allows the social feed in Qarrot to be visible in Slack but users cannot send recognitions or perform any other actions from Slack, they must log into their Qarrot account to interact with the app.

To add the Qarrot Slack app to your workspace so that users can send recognitions without leaving Slack, check out this article:
