You can automatically celebrate birthdays by creating a Birthday Award under Manage > Milestones. When a user celebrates a birthday, the award appears on the social feed, which allows other users to add on to the milestone if they want to.
Note: in order to receive a birthday award, users must record their birth date ahead of time. Birthday rewards cannot be awarded retroactively.
Create a Birthday Award
From the Manage > Milestones page and on the right side of your screen, click 'Set birthday award', then complete the following:
Name - give your award a fun name (the name of the award only appears in the reports and transaction histories)
Message - add a celebratory message that will apply to all users' birthdays
Badge - select the badge the user will earn
Points - add the number of points the user will receive (optional)
That's it!
Edit a Birthday Award
On the Manage > Milestones page, click the arrow on the Birthday Award to view the award's details, then click 'Edit'. You can only edit the award's name or message. To change the badge or the points associated with this award, you must delete it and create a new birthday award.
Delete a Birthday Award
To delete the Birthday Award, click 'Delete' on the Birthday Award's detail page:
Activate or deactivate the Birthday Award
To deactivate the Birthday Award so this milestone stops being awarded to people, click the switch:
You can reactivate the Birthday Award at any time.

How do I add my people's birthday dates?
There are 3 ways to add their birthday dates:
If you're using an HRIS integration for your user management, the system will automatically pull the information over for you.
You can add everyone's birthday information by including it in the bulk upload template.
You can manually add a user's birthday information by finding their name on the Manage > People page and clicking the arrow on the right. Click 'Edit' and scroll in their profile to find the Birthday field and type in their birthday information.
What time do the automated birthday awards get sent out?
The automated Birthday Award is programmed to be sent at approximately 6 AM in the award receiver's time zone.
What if a person doesn't want their birthday to be celebrated?
If a person does not want to be awarded on their birthday, you can simply remove the birth date from their profile (or the user can do it themselves from their Profile).
