The Recognitions settings page allows Super Admins to configure how peer-to-peer recognition works across the organization. Changes made on this page take effect immediately after you save them.
Note: These settings apply only to peer-to-peer recognitions. They do not apply to recognitions sent by Admins or to recognitions Team Leaders send to their Team Members. Even if peer-to-peer recognition is disabled, Admins can still recognize anyone in the organization, and Team Leaders can recognize their Team Members.
1. Allow people to add points when sending a recognition
Enable this setting to allow users to include Giving Points with their recognitions.
Users can send bonus points based on their available Giving Points budget. If they don't have enough Giving Points available, they won't be able to add points until they receive a new allocation.
Note: People can always send a recognition even if they run out of Giving Points.
2. Allow people to add a badge when sending a recognition
Enable this setting to allow users to include a badge with their recognition.
You can also choose what types of badges users can select from your badge library. Depending on how your badge library is configured, users can choose from:
Badges without point values
Badges with point values
Both types of badges
If a badge has a point value assigned, the sender must have enough Giving Points available to send that badge.
Depending on your recognition program, you may also choose to require users to include a badge with every recognition.
3. Allow people to send private recognitions
When enabled, users can choose to send a recognition privately.
Private recognitions are visible only to the sender and recipient(s) and do not appear in the public Social Feed. However, administrators can still access all private recognitions in reports and can view them from the sender's and recipient's Activity tabs.
4. Monthly recognition limit
Use this setting to define the maximum number of times one user can recognize the same colleague within a calendar month.
This limit helps encourage users to spread recognition across their coworkers. It applies only to peer-to-peer recognitions and does not apply to recognitions sent by Admins or by Team Leaders to their Team Members.
If a user reaches the monthly limit for a specific colleague, that colleague's name will appear grayed out and cannot be selected when sending a recognition:
The monthly recognition limit resets automatically at the beginning of each month and can be updated at any time.
5. Enable recognition coaching (Qoach)
Qoach is an AI-powered recognition coach that helps users write more meaningful, specific recognition messages.
Once enabled, Qoach becomes available to all users whenever they send a recognition. While composing their message, users receive AI-powered suggestions to help make their recognition more thoughtful, authentic, and impactful.
Note: Although Qoach is enabled at the organization level by a Super Admin, individual users can turn it off for their own account from the Profile menu at any time.
